Arup opened its first office in Spain in 1993. We work with clients in both the public and private sectors, delivering creative and sustainable solutions based on efficient use of resources. Our multidisciplinary teams follow a global vision adapted to local needs and regulations. Madrid is the major financial centre of the Iberian Peninsula and plays a significant role in both the banking and industrial sectors. It has traditionally been the hub between different areas of Spain and is therefore connected to all major Spanish cities by train, road and air. Following the completion of a number of major projects in 1992, including the Thyssen Museum in Madrid, Arup established a permanent presence in Spain in 1993. Since then, qualified engineers and staff have been working throughout all Spanish regions.
